- Can I just come in for a consultation to discuss my problem with Dr. Mosbach?
YES. Our office offers a free no obligation consultation. This allows a perspective new patient an opportunity to meet with Dr. Mosbach and discuss their problem and determine if chiropractic care is right for them.
- What is the Gonstead Technique?
Developed by Dr. Clarence Gonstead, the technique is a complete system of evaluating the entire spine and providing specific hands on adjustments to correct a subluxation (spinal misalignments producing nerve interference).
- Do I need to have X-rays?
While not every patient's situation requires x-rays, it is an important part of properly evaluating a patient's condition. X-rays also allow Dr. Mosbach to be as specific as possibly when it comes to making the proper adjustment to the spine.
- Can I go to a chiropractor if I have had back surgery?
YES. Chirpractic is safe for patients who have had back surgery. While every case is different, chiropractic care has shown to be effective in helping prevent future problems that could result in a second surgery.
Adjustments to other areas of the spine will also help reduce the stress put on the area of the spine having had the surgery.
- Can someone be too young or too old for chiropractic care?
No. Dr. Mosbach has been in practice for over 25 years and has had patients ranging from just a few days old to patients well into their nineties.
- Will my health insurance pay for chiropractic?
Most insurance plans do cover chiropractic care. However, insurance benefits vary and can be as different as the people they cover.
Our office will do it's best to explain and help you to understand what your chiropractic benefits are under your insurance plan.
In addition, our office will file your primary insurance for you.
- Once I start going to a chiropractor, how long do I need to keep going?
That depends on what your goals from your care are. Some patient have the goal of only wanting relief, while others are looking for a more lasting solution to their problem which in that case would involve a period of corrective care. Still others desire to maintain the results they've achieved through care.
The choice is always up to the patient as to how far they take their care. Discuss your expections and goals with Dr. Mosbach so he can specifically design a treatment plan in your best interest and help you obtain the results you're lookiing for.
